Welcome.

This conference is about improving health communication during clinical handover, which is a vital but challenging process for patient safety and care. It is jointly organized by the School of Nursing at Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Department of English at the City University of Hong Kong, with the generous support from the Hospital Authority (Nursing). We have invited renowned speakers (including academics, practitioners, and experts) from various regions, including Hong Kong, Mainland China, Southeast Asia, Australia, Europe, and the US, to share their insights and experiences on health communication. One of the highlights of the conference is a panel discussion on nursing handover communication, where practitioners and trainers will discuss the challenges and strategies of effective handover communication in different settings. The conference offers a unique opportunity to learn from experts, exchange ideas with peers, and network with colleagues.

You can attend the conference in person at our venue in Hong Kong, or you can join us online via livestreaming. We hope you will enjoy this conference and find it valuable for your professional development. Thank you for your participation and interest.
